About Us
Hi, I’m the human behind Bully Bisqueworks, and this is my small ceramics operation fueled by clay, creativity, and my dog’s very expensive dermatology habit.
The name Bully Bisqueworks is a nod to both my love of ceramics and the real boss of my household: my bull terrier Bela, who has sensitive skin, strong opinions, and zero interest in budgeting. She doesn’t help with the making, firing, or glazing, but she does supervise closely and insists on quality control via judgmental staring.
I make functional pottery by hand - pieces meant to be used, loved, and admired while you contemplate why a dog needs more specialty care than most people. Every mug, bowl, and sculptural oddity that comes out of my studio helps fund prescription shampoos, allergy panels, and vet visits that begin with, “So what seems to be the issue this time?” When you buy one of my pieces, you’re not just supporting an artist - you’re helping keep a very itchy dog comfortable and slightly less pink.
My work is handmade in small batches, with all the unique touches that prove a human was involved- rare in this age of AI art. With each piece, I endeavor to brighten your world and show you a bit of mine.
Thank you for being a part of my journey, for supporting my art, and for contributing to my dog’s skincare routine.
